IP Office supports Made in Bolivia fair

Hecho en Bolivia (Made in Bolivia) is a private initiative created so that all goods and services produced in the country carry a distinctive seal that promotes national industrial development and strengthens the micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

The initiative organizes itinerant fairs throughout the country, coordinated between the Ministry of Productive Development and producer organizations of several cities. The last one of 2017 took place in November in the city of Santa Cruz, eastern Bolivia, which contributes more than 80% of national agricultural production and has contributed over 35% of GDP in recent years.

The Santa Cruz fair had the support from the Bolivian Intellectual Property Office (Senapi), whose employees highlighted to exhibitors and consumers the importance of protecting products with IP rights and the necessary procedures they must comply to do it.

Around 38 stands exhibited products from different sectors such as textile, dairy, gastronomy and medicinal plants.
