Entrepreneurship in Central America, a process still in need of trust

UNIMER Central America, a consultancy company which specializes in market research, presented a report on entrepreneurship in Central America, which calls for stronger support for young businessmen and women on the region amid a current encouraging scenario. Continual tech innovations and the need for monetary independence are the two main factors moving young Centro Americans into the execution of their own business projects and ideas.

According to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), El Salvador is increasing opportunities for youth to obtain income in their country through education, job training, and partnerships with the private sector. “Furthermore, USAID assistance is working to improve the investment and business climate to stimulate trade, small business growth and employment. All these efforts help Salvadorans envision a brighter future in El Salvador”, says the US agency.

The need of more similar policies arrive in a global time were demand for intellectual property (IP) tools reached record heights, according to the World Intellectual Property Office latest annual indicators report, presented in December 3, 2018. "Demand for IP protection is rising faster than the rate of global economic growth, illustrating that IP-backed innovation is an increasingly critical component of competition and commercial activity," said WIPO Director General Francis Gurry.
