
The Saudi Council of Ministers authorized on October 20, 2020, the signing of an air services agreement by the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) with Guatemala.
The memorandum includes agreement about opening the airspace between the two countries for all types of commercial air transport, in line with the development of the air transport sector in Guatemala and with the continuous efforts by Saudi Arabia to enhance its position in the field of international relations around the world, allowing the national carriers to expand their network of operational plans.
The agreement also looks to achieve the highest safety and security and ways to keep up with the rapid development in the industry. It will help keep pace with the acceleration in the growth of the air transport industry and to provide operational opportunities and destination points.
