We at BC&B are very pleased to announce the incorporation of Mr. Octavio Espejo as partner of our firm. He will take office from January 2018.

He will be responsible of our control and docketing areas while continuing to provide specialized advisory in formal and technical aspects regarding to patents, industrial designs and utility models to our clients.

Octavio is electrical mechanical engineer from Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and attorney at law from Universidad del Valle de México (UVM). He was invited in 2015 by the Japanese Patent Office (JPO) to attend to the post-graduate course “JPO/IPR Training Course for Practitioners Specializing in Patents (IPPP)” at the Japan Institute for Promoting Invention and Innovation (JIPII), Overseas Human Resources and Industry Development Association (HIDA) and Asia-Pacific Industrial Property Center (APIC). He is currently in the PCG Course of Perfection of Managing Competencies from ICAMI – UP Centro de Formación y Perfeccionamiento Directivo – Universidad Panamericana.

Octavio is an active member of the AMPPI, where he is chair of the Patent Committee; he is member of AIPPI, where he participates in the Industrial Design Committee; he is also an active member of AIPLA, where he takes part in the IP Practice Committee for Latin America.

We are sure that Octavio’s skill and experience will sum and strengthen our patent and legal areas at the firm.
