Support program for entrepreneurs from the Salvadoran diaspora

By Eproint - 22/07/2022

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Superintendency of the Financial System of El Salvador started a training program for managing finances aimed at entrepreneurs from the Salvadoran diaspora.

Residing in Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Argentina, Colombia, Nicaragua, Mexico, Canada and Chile, the diaspora projects are focused on food and beverage, handicraft, fashion and clothing, and services sectors, among others.

The final purpose is to grant financial education programs that allow the diaspora and the returned population to access the financial system and invest in the Salvadoran stock market, facilitating the good management of their finances.

In this context, a series of workshops have been scheduled, which will be given weekly virtually, in which aspects such as budgeting and investment in the stock market will be addressed.

In addition, the first National Forum for Young Entrepreneurial Talent was organized to include the young population in the productive dynamics of the country, by strengthening employability and youth entrepreneurship.
